Worth the Money: Odell Beckham vs Saints ($9.5), Allen Robinson @ Chargers ($7.6), & Alshon Jeffrey vs Eagles ($7.7)
Beckham is the best player to own this week in overall rankings; however, that’s a pretty pricey deal right there. I expect Robinson to also be a popular play this week as he faces a questionable D. Lastly, the Eagles were one of the three worst secondaries in the NFL last year, so Jeffrey should do some damage as well.
Good Values: Kelvin Benjamin vs 49ers ($6.5), Larry Fitzgerald vs Bucs ($6.4), Michael Floyd vs Bucs ($5.9), & Emmanuel Sanders vs Colts ($6.0)
Benjamin attracted 12 targets Week 1 and scored over 18 points in DraftKings against one of the toughest D’s in the league. This week he’ll face an underrated D, but he should continue to produce numbers above his moderate price value. Two Cardinals that are nicely valued could potentially exploit a Bucs secondary that is average at best. Lastly, Emmanuel Sanders is the only reliable healthy target for Denver this weekend as he’ll face a dumpster fire secondary for Indy.
Bad Values: Antonio Brown vs Bengals ($9.9), Dez Bryant @ Redskins ($8.4), Randall Cobb @ Vikings ($7.4), & TY Hilton @ Broncos ($7.0)
We all know Brown is the best player in fantasy; however, I much prefer Beckham this week simply because of the match-up. Bryant could bounce back against the Redskins, but I won’t risk that high price tag considering his previous week’s output. Cobb and Hilton are both facing tough defenses and should not attract enough targets for their current values.
Sleepers: Marvin Jones vs Titans ($5.5) & Sterling Shepard vs Saints ($5.2)
Always tons of options here, but my two favorite are Jones and Shepard. Jones should see 10 plus targets against the Titans and Shepard is the Giants #2 WR and should exploit the Saints secondary considering all the attention Beckham will be getting.
